The Charity Commission is established by law as the regulator and registrar for charities in England and Wales. They are responsible for providing regulation of charities in order to increase charities' effectiveness and public confidence and trust.
All the bishops of England & Wales meet together twice a year for a week soon after Easter (Low Week) and for a week in November each year, to decide policies for the church at a national level.
